Not every day can be a 10 out of 10 type day.

Sometimes I have to stop myself from being too overjoyed. What, you say!? Too overjoyed!? From Friday fun with the lovelies...to... I know this is silly, but when I have days like yesterday when things just aren't good, I feel as if my world comes to a screeching halt. I really get more frustrated then I should when things aren't right and it makes me question life in general. It's nice to have a happy balance, one must know that there are days when it's just not your day (momma said...), where you feel rubbish and you just want to go in a dark quiet place or you want the day to end.  Not everyday can be perfect, right? Here are a few photos below and above to fit the mood.....

I can now say although I felt so bad yesterday, today I woke and the sun was shining and it's hard to be blue when it's so nice out!

The days cruise by & it's almost July.

It's been awhile I know. I've been overwhelmed by work, but hopefully next week's load will lighten. Life has been busy with general summer activities, with Father's day (think wine, good food and lots of LOUD Bretts), my father's return to the bay, house sitting and lots of gatherings with friends.

Last week (or was it the week before?) I went to Santa Cruz with Phannie and Noelle, (the three amigos together again!), another day we had a BBQ and a Birthday with a puppy surprise for my friend Joanne.

Tonight I am off to a play about North Beach, the Tosca Project at ACT. Here are a few photos from the past two weeks:

Save me, I'm drowning in blue.

A distant light bring us closer.

I am alone on this stretch of time.

Everything looks great with the hipso, even a father's day bouquet.

Who doesn't love a little puppy!?

Shadow love.

This past week has been crazy! Great, intense, a bit disappointing, fast, and tiresome. I bought my ticket, but cancelled my plans for London (I know I shall go back soon).
For some reason on the eve of a memorial service I will attend and before I take off for China, I've been thinking about shadows (or trying to stay in the shadows). Shadows are at the same time mysterious and also seek revelations or uncover secrets. There is a feeling that one gets in the dark light of something, nostalgia for the past, but also there is a flutter of future.

Honey, you are a shining star.

Yesterday when I found the above photo of Susan Sarandon I started thinking of the baby boomer generation of actors and how they've sustained such great success over the years. They've had a few flops or misses, all actors do, but overall their repertoires are impressive! I did a little search and came up with these timeless photos of my favorite actresses of the baby boom, and probably my favorite actresses EVER. Not only do I think they are witty and very funny, I'd like to believe they are kind in real life and also great mothers. We all know what they look like now, still beautiful, still going strong, but check out these stunning photos below.

The Selby

Todd is cool. He takes fabulous pictures and he knows the right people.

Like Lucy and Duffy in London

And Elli and Gui (and their kitty) in Japan.

Dan and Shannon have a nice set up, enough cutlery for you and I.

Hunt's pad is full of color and that's the way he likes it. If I had a wall, I'd do the same.

Contact Todd now to take photos of your home or you. Check out his site: The Selby

Get back to your roots.

A few black and whites.

Feeling a bit nostalgic, a bit sad for the past and what can not be....so I thought black and white photos were fitting.

Tomorrow is a new day.

I am sorry, but unfortunately I can't tell you where these are from (I've had them for awhile).

Miceala and Chris' wedding photos!

Miceala's photographer, Jennifer Longaway was wonderful! Not only was she really friendly, but her pictures are fab.
The above photo is us and the bride, well our feet anyway. I am third from the right with the obscenely high heel.

She also did her engagement photos, take a peak of their engagement photos on her blog at
